Anderson YMCA forms Strategic Alliance with InerG Impact.
The YMCA of Madison County closes the 110-year-old Anderson YMCA building, located at 28 West 12th Street in downtown Anderson, leasing space and forming a strategic alliance with InerG Impact, at 2629 Lindberg Rd., Anderson, IN 46012.

[Madison County, IN 12/23/24]—The YMCA of Madison County is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with InerG Impact in Anderson, IN. The YMCA will move its Anderson operations in a lease arrangement with InerG Impact, located at 2629 Lindberg Rd., Anderson, IN 46012.

The YMCA of Madison County’s lease with ERS at the 28 West 12th Street location comes to a close on December 31, 2024. The YMCA sold the over 100-year building to ERS 5 years ago, signing a lease to continue operations while the YMCA looked for a new base for Anderson’s operations. Being a staple in the Anderson downtown community and leaving its historic location is a difficult, but necessary decision as maintaining the building structure is cost prohibitive and unsustainable for Y operations. The alliance with InerG Impact sets the stage for the YMCA of Anderson to turn a page, and begin a new chapter in its history.

"This strategic alliance between InerG Impact and the YMCA of Madison County marks a transformative moment for our community”, C. Daniel Graham Sr., Co-Founder & Executive Director of InerG Impact states. “By combining our missions, we are fostering holistic wellness for the entrepreneurs, founders, small business owners, and community members we serve. Together, we are building a foundation that nurtures growth, drives innovation, and creates meaningful opportunities to strengthen Madison County as a hub of health and entrepreneurship."

Clark Simpson, YMCA of Madison County CEO, “As a nonprofit that specializes in being a business incubator, InerG Impact, with its community first mentality and a mission that aligns with the YMCA’s mission of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, they are a wonderful organization to come along side and develop an alliance with. I stated in my introductory press lease that working with other stakeholders in the community is important, and necessary, to better meet the needs of our community. This is a perfect example of aligning with another Anderson/Madison County organization to significantly increase and improve the services that neither of the organizations can provide by themselves. I am thankful that both of our Board of Directors have the vision, and see the potential, this alliance brings. This is exciting!”

The lease arrangement will allow the YMCA to provide a separate strength training room with free weights, Cybex weight equipment; separate cardio room with spin bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, seated bikes and steppers; personal training services for those wanting to take it to the next level: access to two full size gymnasiums; ability to provide programs like Silver Sneakers; yoga; numerous youth sports; restarting services like massage therapy and providing new programs like the YMCA’s Live Strong.

InerG Impact members benefits and services will be enhanced at no additional cost with this relationship, increasing access to significantly more exercise equipment options and opportunities than currently available. There will be separate entrances for YMCA members and InerG Impact members and clients. While a specific date cannot be firmly announced at this time, we are working toward opening access for YMCA members at the 2629 Lindberg Rd. Anderson, IN 46012 in a mid-January soft launch – date to be announced. Details will follow on a Grand Opening Celebration for both the new YMCA location and InerG Impact’s one year anniversary.

The current YMCA location at 28 West 12th Street officially closes operations on December 31st. Keep up to date on all new YMCA offerings by following Anderson YMCA of Madison County on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/andersonmadco .
