Six young entrepreneurs, including our very own Brandon Boynton representing Indiana, will face off with scholarship dollars on the line June 11 during a competition sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Sam's Club.
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) National Saunders Scholarship Competition will take place during the chamber's annual Small Business Summit at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Six finalists will vie for three scholarships, and they will have a chance to win a fast past audition to ABC's hit television show Shark Tank.
(Read: Biographies of each finalist.)
Meet the contenders:
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is a yearlong program that transforms middle and high school students into real entrepreneurs. Students write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to panels of investors, and launch their own legal, fully formed companies. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation provides launch grants to state and local chambers of commerce to help bring the YEA! program to their communities. > more info
