Description

ABOUT WAKE UP!
For almost 30 years, Wake Up! has successfully connected thousands of Madison County business professionals and community leaders. Now a revised program under the Get Linked Madison initiative, the new Wake Up! reaches out to link businesses executives, decision makers, heads of industry, and non-profits across the region. Wake Up! offers networking, exposure, and community information.

 FEATURED SPEAKER

Indiana Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann will be the guest speaker at the Madison County Chamber Wake Up! Breakfast on Sept. 18 from 7:15 to 9 a.m. at St.Vincent Anderson Regional. Her presentation will focus on education’s impact on economic development.

Ellspermann serves as the 50th Lieutenant Governor of Indiana. As Lt. Governor, she manages six state agencies, including the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, the Office of Defense Development, the Office of Community and Rural Affairs, the Office of Tourism Development and the Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. She also serves as President of the Indiana Senate and chairs the Indiana Counter Terrorism and Security Council.

During her first year in office, Ellspermann completed a 92-county “Listen and Learn” tour where she met with business, agriculture and government leaders. In addition to her oversight of her six state agencies, Governor Pence appointed her co-chair of his Blue Ribbon Panel on Transportation Infrastructure. She also serves as vice-chair of the Indiana Career Council that is overseeing the state’s workforce development and training initiatives.
