The Harrison Connection Networking Event

Description

Harrison College is pleased to be teaming up with the Madison County Chamber of Commerce to announce its 2013 Harrison Connection Event as a Mad9Mixer to be held on Wednesday, October 23rd from 10:00am to 12:30pm.  An employer panel is scheduled from 10:30a to 11:30a, during the networking event.  Light food and beverages will be served.

This FREE event will provide a forum for you to connect with Harrison’s students, alumni, Chamber members, and community guests.  The employer panel gives you, as our employer partner, the opportunity to share what employers are really looking for when hiring employees in terms of knowledge, technical skills and soft skills. You don’t need to have active job openings to participate.

Details - Employer Panel Discussion (10:30am to 11:30am)
• Panel participants are needed in the Allied Health, Criminal Justice and Business fields.
• Pay it forward by offering insight into your industry and profession.
• Help your organization by assisting potential employees gain a better understanding of workplace expectations.
• Questions will be provided in advance to help you prepare.
• Q & A to follow based on interest where students and alumni can ask more specific questions.
• If you are participating in both the employer panel discussion and career networking event, please set up your table between 9:00am and 10:00am.

Details - Career Networking Event (11:30am to 12:30pm)
• Tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Set up is from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, however you don’t have to have a table.  Just come for the networking with other employer partners and/or the panel discussion.
• Get direct access to Medical, Criminal Justice and Business program faculty, students and alumni.
• You don’t need to have current openings to participate—it is more about the networking.
