Description
Anderson University and the Indianapolis-based company Interactive Intelligence (ININ) will conduct a public ribbon cutting for a new on-campus technology lab Sept. 7 at 11 a.m.
The new lab features seven workstations, new seating, and a large TV equipped for video conferencing, as well as other features that promote a shared workspace and collaborative environment.
The lab was developed in partnership with ININ to provide a location for students to work with ININ staff from their testing department. Each semester, up to six computer science students will be contracted by ININ to work with cloud-based technology to develop new software products for the company.
AU and ININ have a long history of connectedness. Currently, there are more than 30 computer science alumni employed by ININ.
The ribbon cutting will take place at the lab which is located in the northeast corner of Decker Hall on the university campus. Visitor parking is located off of East Fifth St. in the northeast and southeast lots. (Discovery Day Parking on the map).
