Bendle Lawn Equipment was conceived in the minds of Chuck and Janice Riddle, in 1981. In the midst of tough economic times, their lives were put on hold due to a General Motors layoff. Chuck had worked in the lawn and garden industry while in high school, and out of necessity, he thought he would start a repair shop in his garage until he was called back to work for General Motors. Little did he know that 30 years later his repair shop in the garage with two employees would eventually grow to become a multi-million dollar business with two locations and 19 employees.
