Description
OSHA 10 Hour General Industry
Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, employers are responsible for providing safe and healthful workplaces for their employees. OSHA’s role is to assure these conditions for America’s working men and women by setting and enforcing standards, and providing training, education assistance.Through Ivy Tech Corporate College, workers can attend 10-hour General Industry classes delivered by OSHA-authorized trainers. The 10-hour class is intended for entry level workers. This program provides training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces.
