The Madison County Historical Society is very pleased to invite you to an open house to honor Mr. Stephen Jackson.
Steve was chosen co-recipient of the 2015 Community Person of the Year award by the editorial staff of the Herald Bulletin.
Steve distinguished himself by his diligent, insightful, and leadership role during the Anderson sesquicentennial celebration during this past year.
A Storyteller for all
Steve has become our storyteller for the county. He shares his knowledge freely and enthusiastically with many organizations, schools, clubs, and radio guests spots throughout the year.
One of his most rewarding efforts in the past years has been the sharing of the orphanage records from the Bronnenberg Home. Many, many families have been brought back together which has been most satisfying.
Steve has spent many hours collecting, categorizing, and identifying the Society's photographic collection.
His efforts and leadership at MCHS are enormous and so very much appreciated.
Thank you, Steve, and congratulation on a job well done. We are so very proud of your community involvement and accomplishments.
