Special program will be on closing the education/employment gap with guest speakers from the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Indiana Commission for Higher Education. Since this may be of interest to you and to your business contacts, I wanted to be sure all were aware of it. Program information will deal with ways to secure funding for highly qualified interns, best practices from other communities re: industry/education partnerships, and other topics.
Amanda Stanley is the Director of Program Relationships with the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, Division of Student Financial Aid, which helps Indiana students and families meet the costs of a college education. With public relations and mass communication experience across industries such as government and utilities, she brings skills such as web content management, constituent and media relations and publication design to the Division of Student Financial Aid. Prior to joining SFA (formerly known as the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana), Amanda worked for the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance and Vectren Corporation. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the University of Evansville and a Master of Arts in Public Relations from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.
