The Central Indiana Safety Council invites you to attend our monthly meetings to connect with like-minded professionals in the safety and health industries.

June 2, 2016 Meeting

Topic: ACTIVE SHOOTER
· How to respond to protect your life
· What to do when the police arrive
· Recognizing signs of potential workplace violence

Presenter: Jim Liest - Hoosier Park Racing & Casino Director of Security

· Served 30 years in the police/fire fields in Ohio, California and Missouri

· Retired Public Safety Director (Missouri)

· Degrees in Criminal Justice and Police Administration (Ohio Dominican University)

· Certified police and fire academy instructor

· Adjunct instructor at Ivy Tech (Criminal Justice)

· Vietnam veteran – United States Navy Air

· Presently the Security Director at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino (15 years)

Central Indiana Safety Council mission and purpose:

1. To provide safety and health awareness in the workplace.

2. To provide a forum to address safety and health issues and concerns of mutual interest.

3. To provide educational programming to promote safety and health in the workplace.

Meetings are typically the first Thursday of each month.
