Description
Mission Haiti Medical (MHM), an Anderson-based non-profit that provides medical care in the country of Haiti, will hold its second 1 Block at a Time Benefit Gala on Saturday, September 24th at The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club to raise funds and awareness for its medical clinic in Haiti. With proceeds from the gala funding the transformation of the Saintard, Haiti clinic from an outpatient clinic into a 24-hour, licensed Haitian hospital, the 1 Block at a Time Benefit Gala will have a buffet, hold both a silent and live auction, and will feature special musical guests The Hunter Smith Band. Guests will be able to bid on a variety of exciting items including a 3-night stay at Mountain Laurel Chalets in Gatlinburg, Tenn., a Disneyland Vacation package and an English Cream Minidoodle puppy donated by Royal Minidoodles. As part of the gala, Junior Jean, the son of the Haitian founder of MHM, will share his perspective on the clinic’s presence in his hometown. President of the MHM Board and new missionaries to Haiti, Mark Fulton and his wife Kathy, will also join Junior Jean to share their experiences and the future goals of the mission. Pre-sale tickets for the event are $49 each until September 1, 2016. Then admission tickets are $60 each from September 1-15, 2016 or for those who can’t attend, $20 to bid remotely online. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.MissionHaitiMedical.org/GalaTickets or e-mailing Tina McDonald at TMc2815@gmail.com. Please provide your ticket request, name and phone number and you will be contacted to process your order. Ticket sales are limited. MHM’s mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a healthcare alliance with the people of Haiti. Since their inception in 1998, they have provided healthcare for over 100,000 people in Haiti as well as oversee the daily operations of an outpatient clinic in Saintard, Haiti employed by Haitian staff and medical personnel.
