United Way of Madison County invites the public to the Open House &\; Ribbon Cutting at its new home at 205 West 11th \;Street in Anderson on \;Thursday\, December 10th \;from \;5:00 PM - 6:00 PM. The official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony sponsored by Madison County Chamber will take place at \;5:00 PM.
\n\nThe organization relocated from its home of 15 years in the Church of God Ministries building on East 5th \;Street in mid-November. \;The new location significantly impacts the organization'\;s ability to serve the community. Not only is the office more visible\, it allows United Way the capability to better connect with individuals throughout the community that are in need of services.
\n\n&ldquo\;We are so pleased to be in downtown Anderson. We see being located here as a community asset &ndash\; a long-term investment in the redevelopment of this area and in our ability to continue to partner with the local community to improve the lives of children\, families and individuals\,&rdquo\; says Nancy Vaughan\, President of United Way of Madison County.
\n\nThe new location houses United Way&rsquo\;s sponsored services Born Learning Connection\, \;Covering Kids and Families of Madison County\, and RSVP (Retired &\; Senior Volunteer Program). Each of these services works directly with the public. Individuals are encouraged to stop by the new office to take advantage of offerings which include early childhood learning support for families and home-based childcare providers\, navigator assistance to enroll in healthcare\, and connection to volunteer opportunities in the community.
\n\nThe office also provides meeting space for the many partnership groups convened by United Way and training space for nonprofit and human services workshops sponsored throughout the year by the organization for the benefit of the network of providers in Madison County.
\n\nThe new office is conveniently located in downtown Anderson on the southwest corner of Brown-Delaware and 11th \;Streets. The hours of operation are \;8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Monday through \;Friday.
