DESCRIPTION:We begin our 46th Season with an ASO premiere: Mahler Symphony. No.1\, the "Titan".  This epic work engages a large orchestra of 85 musicians.  The brass flourishes with soaring\, lyrical passages\, and an energetically charged final movement.    We are very proud that the ASO performance of this work marks a high point in the development of our orchestra.   The evening will begin with Mozart's Symphony No. 41\, nicknamed the "Jupiter Symphony". \n\nA pre-concert music talk will be presented by Dr. Christopher Holmes of the AU School of Music at 6:30  in the Marquee Room.
