DESCRIPTION:Carl Orff's famous Carmina Burana closes this epic season.  Composed in 1935\, this piece sets a collection of poems from the middle ages to fiercely powerful music.  The opening and closing movements "O Fortuna" have been featured in countless movies and commercials but hearing the entire work will genuinely inspire you.  Three professional vocalists and a chorus of over 100 will join the ASO. \n\nA pre-concert music talk will be presented Dr. Christopher Holmes of the AU School of Music at 6:30 in the Marquee Room.
