SUMMARY:9th Annual Operation Weatherization
DESCRIPTION:Operation Weatherization is a chance for you to spend a day working with others\, showing you care about your community.\n\nVolunteers will work in teams at selected energy inefficient homes completing simple weatherization tasks such as caulking\, weather stripping and plastic wrapping windows.\n\n\n\nFamilies in our community are living on the edge\, surviving from paycheck to paycheck\, unable or barely able to meet their expenses - and just one doctor's visit or car problem away from crisis. Weatherization can help reduce energy costs\, prevent potential health problems and help keep families on track to meet their basic needs.\n\n\n\nWhen individuals and families THRIVE\, so does our community.\n\n\n\nTeams of five to eight members will each weatherize two pre-selected homes. \n\n\n\nThe When:\n\n9 am - Registration & Coffee/Donuts & Pick Up Supplies\n\n10 am - Launch Volunteer Projects\n\n\n\nThe Where:\n\nAnderson - New United Way Office\, 205 W 11th St.\n\nAlexandria - Chamber of Commerce\, 125 N. Wayne St.\n\nElwood - Elwood Fire Department\, 1505 S.
